I want to touch a dog’ event a big hit with Muslims

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 20, 2014:
Freelance preacher Mohd Kazim Elias has labelled the “I Want To Touch A Dog” campaign, organised by a Muslim, as a subtle way to liberalise Islam.
In a Facebook post, Mohd Kazim described the event as legalising an aspect which was deemed “haram” in the religion.
This, he said, was the sole purpose of the campaign.
The event, organised by Syed Azmi Alhabshi, held yesterday at the Central Park, Bandar Utama was aimed to help people overcome their fear of dogs and learn to be compassionate and loving towards the animal.
“I Want To Touch A Dog” while a success also proved to be divisive among the Muslim community.
Mohd Kazim warned Muslims to be wary of such an agenda to safeguard their faith, adding that such activities should be viewed seriously as they were related to daily religious practices.

Siti Sakinah Meor Omar Baki has been afraid of dogs all her life. Not only that, she was told that touching dogs is not allowed in Islam. That was the mentality and teaching instilled in her by her conventional family.
But today, Siti Sakinah, along with her four children, turned up at Central Park in Bandar Utama, Selangor, to participate in the "I want to touch a dog" event to overcome her fear.
"It is also to show that touching a dog is not haram. People are worried about touching the dogs more as it’s a sin instead of worrying about the biggest sins," said Siti Sakinah, a former religious teacher who currently works with an NGO.

She said her husband, an ustaz, gave her the permission to attend today's event. "I wanted to jump for joy when he said 'yes' and I told my children they had to go. And all of them came today with me to overcome their fear and to learn that dogs are also creatures created by Allah that need love and care," said Siti Sakinah, who touched and petted a few dogs at the event.
"I am still scared of big dogs so I am touching the small ones first," she said gleefully.
Siti Sakinah and her children were among the many families who turned up at the event which was attended by more than 1,000 people.
The organiser of the event, Syed Azmi Alhabshi, said he was satisfied with the turnout.
"We only expected 60 but this is way more than 60. This is overwhelming and I hope I provided enough water for the dogs and apologise for any shortcomings," he said.

Another woman who wished to be known only as Munirah Mohamad, 35, said her relationship with dogs began three years ago when she rescued a dog abused by her neighbour.
"I didn't know what to do. I was scared so I let the dog into my porch. I called the vet to come and pick him up for treatment. And I scolded my neighbour for abusing the animal," said Munirah.
Since then, she said she had rescued more than 50 dogs. Most of them are strays which she fed and treated. Some would return to the streets after being treated while others were adopted.
At present, Munirah has two dogs as pets. Both are strays but she only took one to the event today.

She said all the negativity that she had encountered had made her think of migrating.
"Sometimes I think I want to leave but if I stay, I get to save more dogs. So I haven't decided what to do."
She said the event today was a good way to educate Muslims to love and show compassion towards animals.
"Sometimes people like to experience things themselves rather than be told what to do. Now, I rather show than talk. They are not listening anyway," said Munirah.
The "I want to touch a dog" event was put together to make Malaysians more aware of the furry four-legged creatures and also to educate others on how to practise "sertu" (cleansing).
This is to help many overcome their fear of dogs and bring together Malaysians to promote tolerance and understanding that goes beyond culture, race or religion.
Also present at the event was Ustaz Mohd Iqbal Parjin who gave talks on the touching of dogs in Islam.
"Dogs are also god's creatures. We need to overcome the mentality of seeing the animal as an offensive creature. Teach the young to love others but at the same time know the limit of touching one," said Iqbal. – October 19, 2014.

Steroids abuse and the effects of steroid

Question like does steroid kills me? is some kinda question like " do smoking kills me?". Some might not agree with me but then what are steroids? Steroids are basically drugs that enhances the body system typically the hormone system. By injecting some sort of drug to trigger the production of hormones which spike up on 200% is very subjective whether it is harmful or not.

Many athletes uses steroids to enhance their performance. Either their physique , strength and performance. One thing that they might forgotten is the body response towards drugs and chances might drop over time. That is why we encounter some term name "beginner gains". Well, that is your body and it only response good towards new environment, drugs, and diets. Over time, we can clearly see that some athletes will be injecting hell lot of steroids into their body. The matter of fact that their body has "get use" with the same amount of dosage over a period of time. Aint no shit guys, too much of a thing is never good. You drink too much of protein and you get a smelly fart, when you get too much of steroids , your hormone fucked up. The body started to act different , collecting cholesterols, dilated blood vessel and etc.

Here is one of the example of a steroids abuse. Not to disrespect but i respected her career as  an IFBB pro. I posted this just to illustrate the effect of steroid abuse. It can fuck up your hormone and turn you into another living thing. Imagine that steroid can change a female into a male( more testosterone), It can change a male into a beast. Steroids abuse are one of the main problem that we are dealing with in the world of bodybuilding and we are often cheated by the industry. They put some "natty" on the magazine creating false hope for us. It is not that we can't achieve their physique but rather to achieve that physique without "juices" will take you quite some time. I have seen a lot of desperados wanting that physique so much that in the end, they ended up with steroids.

This is one of the video that really explain things well. Explaining the usage of steroids and steroids abuse.

My advice:
1) Never consider steroids
2) if you are fighting for your country ( can be consider)
3) If you are an professional athlete
4) never take roids if you are just pursuing for a aesthetic physique ( be patient)

BEWARE of Steroids abuse.

Aspects that need to be clear for working out.

Now that we have previously discuss about the 10 basics in starting your workout plan . Now it is important to know your goal. At which point should you cut or bulk? well, that all depend on several aspects .

1. Your body type
Get the calculator here  . There are basically 3 types of body and each has its benefit and drawbacks.
EctoMorph
  • Narrow hips and clavicles
  • Small joints (wrist/ ankles)
  • Thin build
  • Stringy muscle bellies
  • Long limb
  •
Mesomorph
  • Wide clavicles
  • Narrow waist
  • Thinner joints
  • Long and round muscle bellies

Endomorph
  • Blocky
  • Thick rib cage
  • Wide/thicker joints
  • Hips as wide (or wider)
    than clavicles
  • Shorter limbs

2. Have a workout plan
In order for you get a effective workout, it is advisable for you to get a plan and follow it.

For strength: Madcow 5x5, starting strength, Reg park 5x5

As i said , i prefer a 5x5 workout for beginners because i notice it can add on some strength and it is very good to start of as a foundation of lifitng

3. Stretching
Ok, lets admit it that most of you won't bother to do some stretching. Let me remind you that stretching is kinda important for you. It can relax your muscle and give tonnes of benefit.

workout starter guide! 10 things you should know.

A lot of people started workout with a very clear mission which is to get the body that they dream of every night. To be quite frank, the industry itself will try to tell you that you need to take certain supplement to get there?

As a starter, you might get confuse on those stuffs. First, you get fucking sick on MACROS.

1. What is Macros?
Ok, lets get it straight. I don't want to be too lengthy on this and it might get you confuse way more. So 3 basics, The CARB, PROTEIN and FATs. They can tell you bunch of lies to take their supplement but in the end of the day, all you need is to hit your calories by varying this 3 types of macros. Simple enough , these 3  basics can generate energy for you. Cool?

2. How much calories should i take?
Easy :
1. open browser
2. Google
3. Fitness calculator

anyone of those calculators will do , they uses the same formula all the way
i would recommend scooby's website as his calculator has a lot of information. All ya need to do is just get there and key in your weight and height.

3.Workout
What type of workout should i do?. Depending on your goal either to gain size or lose fat. For beginners whom wants to get bulkier before shredding the fats off, I recommend compound movement exercise.
For beginners who are looking for fat loss, i still recommend compound movement exercise but with an add on in Cardio and HIIT exercises will help

4.Which gym to go for?
Any gym will do. You just needa make sure that the gym has enough bars and plates because that is all you need.

5.Isolation?
Some Isolation exercises might help but don't get too obsess with it first. Just focus on the compound movement exercises. 1 or 2 isolation exercises to hit what is lacking in the workout are acceptable . Trust me, isolation are not mend to be done in a large volume

6. How do my workout plan should look like?
It is depending upon you. I would highly recommend a full body workout with 3 times per week or a  Lower upper with 4 days per week and a PPL program (push/ pull /Legs). You don't need to workout like professionals  6 times per week with 1 rest day . The reason is that , you will found out those crap the fitness industries created to cheat you.

7. Reps , sets
This has a long explanation. I would recommend a 5x5 program (5 sets and 5 reps each) , as it is just about the right amount of volume and intensity for growth and fat loss. With fat loss , i would still recommend a 5x5 program. Additional HIIT and cardio would do the work and you need to monitor the calories intake.

8. How long per workout session?
Just take the time you need . Some say 45 minutes , some say an hour and some even goes up to 2 hours. If you are doing compound movement exercises with 2-3 minutes( its not long in compound exercises, trust me) 45 minutes is certainly aint enough. it may reach 1 hour and sometimes even an hour and a half. So, just take your time.

9. Post workout and pre workout.
Post workout: high protein and high carbs ( immediately or asap)
pre workout: high carbs , sugar, caffeine ( 45 minutes before)

10. Sleep

Any sleep above 6 hours are recommended . 8 hours is just a benchmark.
